I was born in Fort Erie and grew up in Ridgeway where my parents and two brothers still reside. My wife Debbie and I have been married for 25 years and we have two teenaged children. We have resided at our home in Crescent Park for the past 24 years. I am successfully self-employed as the owner/operator of the Crystal Beach Candy Company which I started in 1993.
During my spare time (never enough) I enjoy travelling, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. I believe in giving back to the community you call home and I have been an active volunteer for most of my adult life. Some of the causes I’ve enjoyed helping out with are: FE Minor Hockey, CBIA, Winterfest, Ridgeway & Crystal Beach Summer Festivals, NCC’s Heritage Day, and the Friends of Fort Erie’s Creeks. After being elected for my first term in 1996 I represented council on the Environmental Advisory Committee, Communities in Bloom, Cemetery Advisory Board, Court of Revision, Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, and I was vice chair and then chair of Infrastructure Services. I was also the chair of ReLeaf Fort Erie, and the Footsteps for Flowers Walk.
For my second term I will again be representing Communities in Bloom, Court of Revision & the NPCA, and I will also be council’s representative on the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee and I will be chairing Community & Development Services for my first two years. Although I was elected by the residents in Ward 3, I represent all of the constituents of Fort Erie.
I consider it a privilege and an honour to be your voice at Town Hall and I encourage you to contact me if you have any concerns or need assistance with anything relating to town business.
